"A REAL GEM" What a flat-screen TV does for viewing, the new T3 blow-dryer does for hairstyling: takes it to a whole new level. Just ask Britney Spears and Tyra Banks, who each have a dryer. "People think the motor is missing because it's so light," says Kent Yu, creator of the T3, who claims it dries hair 60 percent faster than other ionic dryers and virtually eliminates frizz. The secret is Tourmaline, a stone that reportedly emits more negative ions (to separate water molecules for faster drying) than any other ionic substance (like ceramic) and infrared heat, which dries hair faster than normal heat. "I use it on Debra Messing and it cuts drying time in half," says L.A. hairstylist Luke O'Connor. It's the only dryer I use now."
